The Pride defeated Cal Poly Monday night with a final score of 13-4 and helped raise $2,200 for Operation Headstrong.

Kissimee, FL– Monday night, the 2015 NPF regular season champions defeated Cal Poly 13-4 (Boxscore) in the fourth game of the Fall Tour. More than five hundred fans gathered on Bob Janssen Field to witness the match-up between the Mustangs and the Pride.

The turnout raised $2,200 for Operation Headstrong, a Cal Poly project based at the University that researches combat-related post traumatic stress disorder for veterans struggling with the disease. It also gave west coast fans in the San Luis Obispo area a chance to witness some of the best players in the game face their home team.

Tonight the 2015 Pride Fall Tour ends at Margie Wright Diamond in Fresno, California. The Pride will face Fresno State University located in Fresno county, which is not only home to Bull Dog softball but Pride veteran Andrea Duran. Duran was born in Selma, California which is only about a twenty minute drive from Fresno.

Currently there are no NPF teams located on the west coast but many of the Pride players themselves are west coast natives and continue pushing to increase the awareness of professional softball. No one can deny the amount of talent that is present on the west coast and it’s about time to have pro softball teams in the pacific time region. The NPF fan base continues to grow every day and the fall tour at the very least is reminding young girls with the dream to play in the NPF that they have the opportunity.

Tonight’s game is scheduled for 7PM (PT) on Margie Wright Diamond against the Bull Dogs. Tickets can only be purchased at the Bull Dogs ticket office. Following the game there will be a chance for fans to request autographs during a postgame meet and greet with both teams.

This week the Pride will also make a stop in Elk Grove, California for All-American Elite Camp number three on October 23rd. This camp at Elk Grove Complex will feature college coaches from Oregon, Stanford, Oregon State University and Folsom Lake College among a few others.

Following Elk Grove the Pride will travel east with USA Elite Select to complete the following camps in Kansas City and Texas:

Stay tuned for any possible viewing options for tonight’s game.
